SNem 0.01

posted in Emulator Release by lillymon on Sep 13th, 2002

SNem is a brand new SNES emulator (bringing the active SNES emulator total to five) which runs demos, Krusty's Super Fun House and some other games. Here's what was in version 0.0:
  • 65816: About 70% of opcodes. Many bugs.
  • SPC700: About 40% of opcodes. Emulation isn't compiled in the default binary.
  • PPU: Modes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 7 incomplete. Also (mostly) complete sprite emulation (just missing vertical flip).
  • DMA: All channels. Might be some bugs though.
  • Joypad: Only joypad 1 is emulated.
And here's what's new in version 0.01:
  • Early HDMA emulation.
  • Early vline interrupt emulation.
  • Some 65816 bugs fixed.
  • Initial attempt at mode 7 rotozoom.
