MESS v0.78

MESS is an emulator for several platforms that emulates many, many different systems from Adventurevision to ZX Spectrum. The Windows version has been updated today! As far as MESS goes, this isn't a huge release, but has some important updates. Here's the standard what's new:
    New System Drivers Supported
  • Coleco Adam


    • System Driver Changes
  • [APPLE2] Fixed a serious bug that cuased disk corruption. (bug #476)
  • [APPLE2] Fixed two softswitch banking bugs that garbled graphics in King's Quest. (bugs #487, #489)
  • [APPLE2] Fixed recently introduced slowness in floppy loading. (bug #495)
  • [COLECO] Yolks Revenge fully playable now
  • [DRAGON] Fixed disk controller when used with double sided disks. (bug #492)
  • [SNES] Added HiRes support (fixes Secret of Mana name select screen). Fixed old NES joypad support
  • [SVI318] Fixed a crash on startup
  • [UK101] Minor enhancements, switched to MESS managed RAM


    • User Interface Changes
  • [Windows] Fixed the -writeconfig option; was accidentally dropped. (bug #492)


    • Source Changes
  • The core is based on MAME v0.78. This incorporates all features of the update to this core
  • Fixed a cassette crash that affected the TI-99 among others drivers
  • Changes to device handling in order to support richer image creation
