Name Description
AdvanceMESS This is a Pentium optimized version of MESS. It contains special features, such as support for TV, arcade, and fixed frequency monitors.
AMESS This is the AMD/Pentium II/486 optimized version of MESS. It contains the same feature as the regular version, but it's a bit faster on the mentioned machine types.
MESS MESS emulates multiple console/computer systems. These systems include Apple II, Astrocade, Atari 800, Atari 5200, ColecoVision, Colour Genie, Genesis, Kaypro CP/M, PDP/1, Sega Master System, Gamegear, TRS-80, and Vectrex and many more! Although MESS isn't the best emulator for some of these systems, it is worth a download. Be warned, however, that you should have a faster machine (>P200) to run this.
PMESS This is the Pentium optimized version of MESS. It contains the same feature as the regular version, but it's a bit faster on computers with Pentium processors.
sdlMESS SDL Mess is the preferred version of MESS for both PowerPC and Intel Apple computers. It emulates a lot of different arcade machines and consoles, and it has good compatibility. You should give it a try if you've a Mac and are itching to play some old school games.
