posted in Site News by swampgas on May 26th, 2001Welp, first let me introduce the old news retrieval system. It allows you to search the news by keyword, staffer or type. Simple thing just so that people can read old news...when I have time I'll make it pretty. Next, Anime in the ZD store...by my calculations, we get around 22% off list price as a wholesaler, and since the supplier I want to use already undersells most people, we can probably beat places like amazon.com by around $ 10 and still make $ 3-5 profit per DVD. Also, a long time friend of mine from waaaay back in high school (who's getting a degree in computer science...woohoo) has offered to help me with the ZD store since I'm swamped (like the pun?) with work. And yes, we're both working for free... Oh yeah...a guy I work with at the radio station I work for is managing this modern rock band, and he asked me to do their website. So, I opened up my text editor (edit.com for DOS) and Paint Shop Pro, and made a site real quick. Nothing impressive...but to play a little joke on him, I'm trying to get a zillion hits on it to make him think EVERYBODY is going to it. Go ahead and load it if you're bored (or if you want to see my HTML/graphical work). Try not to bury my 416k DSL line...it's hosted on my home network :)
