Playtag.

Well, this is certainly interesting. Playtag is a new game music software that is in its beta test phase now. Here is a brief description of what it does: ...which allows players to customize the soundtracks of the game using their own MP3, CD collections, SNES and Genesis files, MIDI files, or streaming audio broadcasts. Because we have based music changes around events occuring in the game (Player dies, Player grabs enemy flag, etc.). players can create their own custom interactive soundtracks that change as these game events unfold. Currently we are running a beta test of our software implemented into Unreal Tournament and Quake III mods... I'd use it if I played FPS (mainly for the humor value...) but it seems worth a peek if you play them. It also sounds as though they plan to expand it to work with other games. This is a fairly unique project.
