Tim Purcell wrote to say that he's created a new SoundFont that mimics that of the NES. Here's what he had to say:
This SoundFont was created to allow musicians to create NES and GameBoy style music by use of simplistic wave forms such as variations of Square, Triangle, Saw, and Noise wave forms. Please read the included txt file for more information and how to use.
Try it out at the SoundFonts section.
