MegaMan Vortex v0.1
posted in Misc. News by spacetiger on Dec 26th, 2003A demo version of DxEdge's MegaMan 5 hack, MegaMan Vortex, was just released. Three levels are completed so far and the music has been hacked to include bits from Megaman 3-6. Here's the basic storyline, as taken from the homepage:
- The year is 30XZ. The war in space between mavericks and reploids still rages on. However, the mavericks have the upperhand. The reploids have desperately tried to find something they can use to their advantage. They are in luck when a shuttle crash lands on a planet and finds the remains of a lengendary reploid. They take it back to a ship and have it reconstructed. This reploid, MegaMan, tells them a secret weapon is being built. Vortex' mission is to find out information about this weapon and stop it at all costs.
