MAGFest 3.0 News
posted in Misc. News by narvick on Aug 11th, 2004Well, things are now set in motion for this year's MAGFest! Most of the ZD staff will be attending, and so should everyone who possibly can. It will be held October 1-3 in Williamsburg, VA. The roster of bands performing has been released and the concert has been split into two nights. Who will be there?
- Minibosses: The headliners last year will be back
- Smash Brothers: Ailsean, Matt Pollard, Midee, Prozax and Virt all from VGMix
- Wave Theory: The whole band should make it this year performing techno and dance mixes...with the quickness.
- Jenova Project: This band predated the Minibosses and did mostly Final Fantasy covers. Expect one-time-only arrangements!
- NESkimos: This band rocks. Seriously. They're from Florida, which is right next to me.
- Chromelodeon: 8 member band from Philly that mixes prog rock with game music.
- Shawn Phase: Metal meets game music? Count me in.
- Inheretics (aka Everyone 2.0): Appeared at MAGFest 1 (as Everyone), but missed last year. They're now back.
- Virt: Great guy, former ZD staffer, and great musician
- Dale North: Ex-OneUp Studios, working with X-Strike Studios
- Cindy Morgan: The lead actress from TRON
- X-Strike Studios: Filmmakers that produced the MAGFest documentary earlier this year and bring you films like River City Rumble and Silent Horror
- Virtual Fools: Self proclaimed "video game scholars" and journalists
- Robert Aldrich: Author of several video game and anime inspired works.
- Stephen Kennedy: Founder of KFSS Studios, Project Majestic Mix, Squaredance and more. He might be there, but he may not be
