M1 v0.7.4 for Mac

posted in Utility Release by narvick on Jan 3rd, 2004

Richard Bannister has updated his port of R. Belmont's arcade music player M1 to the Mac. This release is in sync with the source v0.7.4b. Here are the changes:
  • Fixed missing songs in Rock n' Rage ("Like a Virgin" at #66, "Born in the USA" at #68, "Gonna Fly Now" at #71, etc)
  • Turned down PSG volume for Mazinger Z
  • Reverted RF5c68 to old version- I was unable to get proper tuning with the rewrite. This should retrun Sega System 18 and 32 games to proper pitch
  • .lst parser now handles version 2 .lst files with XML-style metadata
  • Upgraded some internals to allow using newer MAME cores
  • Updated Namco WSG core from BUT
  • Fixed noise issues in Indy500
  • Fixed command handling for some Taito F2 games
  • Preliminary music for some Jaleco MegaSystem 32 games
  • Fixed samples for Aquarium
  • Fixed several parent/child relationships to match MAME
  • Fixed Seibu Cup set name to match MAME's, even though mine was better ;-)
  • Finished converting all drivers to the MAME C Z80 core, and removed RAZE. This improves portability and reduces code size
