Kega Lazarus Special Edition

posted in Emulator Release by grammarian on Apr 22nd, 2003

Kega, a Genesis emulator which suffered a tragedy setting the author back to the v0.02 source code, has been updated today, and is looking better than ever! Here's some of the things fixed or changed:
  • Fixed the remaining z80 bugs. The z80 core should now be 100% accurate.
  • Fixed a bug where SMS sprites did not wrap at the top of the screen correctly.
  • Added SMS/GG Expanded Sprites. The author doesn't know of a game that uses the feature, but it's in there now.
  • Added SMS Right Scroll Lock feature
  • Added SMS/GG Sprite Collisions
  • Added proper NMI support (SMS Pause button)
  • Kega now remembers a separate folder for GameGear and Master System ROMs
  • Re-added the GameGear border.
  • VSync issue has been resolved. Framerates in fullscreen modes should be correct, but you'll probably notice some tearing.
  • Option to disable Genesis SRAM (for the game Puggsy)
It's lookin' good! You can grab the new emulator, or the latest major release, from our Genesis emulators for Windows page! Thanks to mushroom blue for the heads-up, and Snake for all the hard work on Kega!
