JPeMu v2.41
posted in Emulator Release by mfc on Dec 25th, 2003Pete_w let us know about an update to JPeMu, a fruit machine emulator for Windows. The emulator itself was set back a little bit due to a hard drive crash, but improvements have been made. The author of the emulator also has a few notes about this release:
- Creating a bitmap with the same name as the .jpm file in the game folder will enable it to be displayed in the game manager. I'm sure other things will become apparent in due course
- This emu _does not_ play encoded layouts. This decision was taken as there was no satisfactory way to disable the tools, and without the time to check with all those whose layouts were encoded, I cannot assume that they would consent to their layouts being edited. Hence no-go. In due course, I may be able to decrypt encoded layouts/roms and release those if authorised to do so.
