Final Fantasy 3 Latin Translation

Nathaniel Guy of Bucho Translations has begun a very original (and interesting) translation project : "Final Fantasy 3" (SNES) in Latin! The first release, v0.1, is newly available. Thus far, progress is described thusly : So far I've translated all of the out-of-battle dialogue of the beginning Narshe scenario, with the exception of a few items that I (being of great translation and little rom-hacking expertise) have been unable to find in the rom and/or translate, such as "Whelk! Get them!..." I've also translated quite a bit of scattered dialogue throughout the game, though you'd have to play a bit further to see this and it probably isn't worth it until I have more of the game translated. I've translated a several item/weapon names, most of the magic spells, a few enemies, and some of the special attacks used by both characters and enemies. Besides the occasional snippets of English scattered where I haven't translated yet, it's really a classically intellectual joy to play. I have created a brand-new Latin Translation Patch section because of this release. Look it over if you are interested. The author welcomes any feedback and / or assistance for this translation project.
