posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Feb 17th, 2004

Leniad has released a new version of his Spectrum emulator for Windows, DSP Emulator. It has been in beta for a long time now and after a lot of hard work, the first non beta version is available. Some arcade games can be emulated too. New:
  • General: Begin to work with µPD765A (floppy disk controller) and 8255PIA (Frogger and Amstrad CPC)
  • General: Making the last touches to my 6502 emulator (NES and Mysterious Stone)
  • General: New input system, added joystick for all drivers (including Kempston and Spectrum driver)
  • General: Code optimization, more frames!
  • General: Graphics on the same window (no more window addon)
  • General: New sound system, added mixer. No more sync troubles, no more strange sounds!
  • General: New FPS sync system, so much more precision (0.01msec of precision!)
  • Spectrum: New tape loading system (new side to side window)
  • Spectrum: Corrected some timings, better sound sync (please take a look at Robin Hood 128K!)
  • Pacman: Correctd some timing here and there, added sound! (Thanks to PIE project!)
  • Bombjack: Better sound emulation, not perfect (I really need help with this!)
  • Frogger: It began to do something!
  • And many things I don't remember...
