posted in Emulator Release by swampgas on Apr 27th, 2001

Ruesselschnurps was the first of many to let us know that the up and coming N64 emulator Daedalus received an update today. Here's the changes:
  • Fixed several combiner modes.
  • Localization dll support by Lkb.
  • Display list processing speedups by Lkb.
  • Dynarec function inlining code by Lkb.
  • Optimised DMA transfer code. Now memcpy is used for word aligned transfers.
  • Implemented TLB ASID stuff.
  • Reimplemented ByteSwapping code in assembly.
  • Added inifile option to set the size of the Eeprom (EepromSize, default 2048).
  • Added inifile option to rescan memory for OS functions after a specified number of DMA transfers.
  • Fixed nasty bug where PeekMessage() was being used needlessly, wasting CPU time.
  • Fixed delayloading of DirectX8.
  • Improved handling of large textures on Voodoo cards. Download it from the N64 emulators.
