With the new Windows Media 8 Audio technology, 64kb is CD quality, which is 3 times smaller than an MP3. Check out the demos. Not only that, but it also offers near-DVD quality at 500kb for videos. They're going to officially release it on Friday the 15th, and no update is necessary for Windows Media 7 people (it will upgrade itself). I can't wait for a Winamp plugin.
