Name	Description
bsnes	bsnes is an emulator that began development on 2004-10-14. The focus of the emulator is on accuracy, debugging functionality, and clean code. The emulator does not focus on things that would hinder accuracy. This includes speed and game-specific hacks for compatibility. As a result, the minimum system requirements for bsnes are very high. Emulator is available for Windows, Linux & Mac.
Silhouette	Silhouette is supposedly a product of internal Nintendo research. When it came out, it had almost perfect emulation (sans SuperFX and other goodies). Version 1.0 is the only version ever released. It plays a great amount of games, but is slightly slower than SNES9x. Worth the download.
SNES9x	Snes9x is one of the better SNES emulators of today. Written primarily in C++, Snes9x has been ported to several platforms and recent versions have focused on cleaning up the code and improving the emulation accuracy, with excellent results. If bsnes is too slow for you, Snes9x should be your first choice right now. This Mac OS X version seems to be the official one, which I'm presuming is an x86/x64 universal binary, though I can't test this as I have no Mac box to test with. Anyone knowing more should feel free to yell at us on the forum for screwing up. ;-)
SNES9x Custom	This is another port of SNES9X based on the newest C++ core code and John Stiles' port. An excellent SNES emulator, and highly recommended!
VSWC	VSWC is an extremely old and slow emulator which, at the end of its development cycle, was integrated into SNES97. Here for nostalgia purposes only, download not recommended.
