<< Go to Nintendo - GameCube emulators list

Dolphin is the most advanced GameCube emulator out there.

It can play many gamecube commercial games flawlessly, and Wii support is well on it's way also.

The Emulator is also now full open source under the GPL 2.0. Source can be found at http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/

Thx, i will try, hehehe.

Naruto says:
Does it have to have a gamecube controller?

"J" says:
no, naruto you can use a keyboard/mouse or a pc controller. :)

MetaKirby says:
Torrents. That's the only way I can think of. However, you'll have to change to rename the file from GAMENAME.iso to GAMENAME.gcm with Dolphin, don't know about the others.

Georges says:
I am unable to use my keyboard with Dolphin because Pad Simple is no longer available. Where can I get an emulator that has this plugin or where can I get it? Thanks.

Didn't work for me either.

Kirby says:
It works on Vista, just good luck trying to get that many things to run properly. My computer may not be very high-end (2 gig, 1.8ghz, etc), and even with frame skipping it still didn't work properly. Make sure your computer is ULTRA high end, or games may not play right.

Namagem says:
The 64 Bit version will, obviously, only work on systems with 64-bit processors. If you don't have one, try the 86 version.

Tung Dinh says:
It's work. But it's very slowly

Wayne says:

FOR PEOPLE HAVING PROBLEMS: (No, I didn't prog it, I've been coming here since Zophar and Swampgas actually ran the site :) )

- RENAME YOUR ISOs to .gcm - that should help a lot of you

- WINDOWS VISTA DOES NOT LIKE IT. Seriously, the thing ran at 12 fps on my Vista machine (AMD FX-54 OC to 3.2Ghz, 6 gigs DDR3 800mhz, GeForce 7950 SLi, Vista Ultimate) but on my XP box (P4 3.0Ghz, 2 gigs DDR2 667mhz, 256 MB ATI X700) it ran at 34-38 fps.

- THIS IS STILL A TINY KITTEN-LIKE CREATURE OF AN EMULATOR. It does NOT have the compatibility of an Xbox/PS2 emulator, and since the GameCube itself ran almost totally off of video RAM for graphics capabilities, you're going to see a slow proc time for the graphics, and even the emulator itself.

Hope that helps a few of you before you flood the comments with "WHY DOES IT NOT WORK?!" statements XD

fluffyb says:
It says "error loading plugins/plugin_padsimple.dll: can't read info." another error message pops up saying "Can't init any PAD plugins" and then another one pos up saying "couldn't init the core. Check your configuration." Please help! I'm a total noob at this. :-(
