DeSmuME

a Nintendo - DS Emulator on the Windows/DOS platform

DeSmuME is a freeware emulator for the Nintendo DS created by YopYop156. DeSmuME is also known as YopYop DS and is written in C++ for Microsoft Windows originally. Around 2006, the project became open source and versions for Mac and Linux are also available.

DS emulation really has come a long way in such a short time, its really kind of a shame the same cannot be said for some of the other systems. I have a real DS and might be getting another soon now, and its really not hard at all to take the necessary steps to run roms off a card and run linux and dos on Ds'es, even connect into a hard drive. Everyon'es so hyped up over PSP's now, but with no stable working PC emu's for it, its not too likely someone like myself would ever be interested in buying one.
