Name	Description
A8E	This is a Atari 8-bit/800XL emulator written in C by Sascha Springer. It was developed completely from scratch and uses the SDL library for a UI and audio and graphics output (from OpenGL). The author says this emulator really isn't anything fancy compared to the other emulators of this kind, but started working on it as a personal effort. We'll keep an eye on it.
Atari 800 Emulator (DOS)Atari 800 Emulator (Win9x)	Emulates Atari 800, 800XL and 130XE 8 bit home computers, and the Atari 5200 console. Supports standard 8KB and 16KB cartridges, as well as OSS Super Cartridges.
Atari++	This is the Windows port of Atari++ and is capable of emulating every Atari 8-bit system, including the 400, 800, 400XL, 800XL, 130XE, and 5200.
Atari800Win PLus	Atari800Win Plus is an emulator that is based off the Atari800 kernel and the Arati800Win sources. It features nearly 100% compatability, stereo sound, multiple video modes, support for compressed disk images, and MUCH more. The author says the emulator will no longer be updated.
Jum52	Runs about 80% of games. Includes joystick, paddle, and sound support, as well as a GUI and a debugger. Can achieve 60fps on a P200.
kat5200	A new Atari 5200, Atari 800 and Atari XL/XE emulator with advanced features, NTSC/PAL support, a GUI and good compatibility. One to watch.
PC Xformer Classic	Emulates the 400/800, 800XL, and 130XE. Has sound support. All the necessary boot ROMs are included in the program's zip archive.
Rainbow	Commercial emulator for Win9x, recreates the Atari 400/800 with 48K RAM, the 800XL with 64K RAM, the 130XE with 128K RAM, and the 5200 game console. The available demo is crippleware, with sound and other features missing. The registration fee of $33, however, is likely worth it, as this is an excellent emulator. Requires boot ROMs, available in the Pokey Roms archive above.
Virtual Super System	Features full sound emulation, and runs over 85% of 5200 games flawlessly. Requires the corresponding boot roms package. This is the debug version of the emulator.
Xformer 2000	Xformer 2000 version 8.0 is a Atari 800/800XL/130XE emulator for Windows. Use it to run your favorite Atari 8-bit games, BASIC programs, and Atari demos on your Windows computer. It is based on Gemulator 2000, but has all the Atari ST and Apple Macintosh emulation removed so as to use less disk space and less memory if you do need those features.
Xformer Classic	This is a Atari 8-bit emulator for MS-DOS. It requires a VGA card and any MS-DOS compatible operating system with 640K of memory.
XL-It!	Emulates the 800, 800XL and 130XE series. Includes sound support. Requires boot ROMs, available in the Pokey Roms archive above.
