After having my own blog (with a custom design) for a year and a half, I've finally noticed xanga and livejournal. My question is: are they good, are they customizable, and are they worth the hassle? Any other impressions would be great as well.

Xanga and Livejournal (and others like them) are only good if you don't know how to code your own blog. If you have server space and some coding know-how, check out Movable Type (http://www.movabletype.org/movabletype.org</a>). It takes care of the updates and archiving and all that. I've never used it myself, but I've seen sites that use it and it looks like it's very customizable.

Doesn't it require the money, though?
