Weird codec issue

Man, what a weird codec problem. I can't figure out how to fix it either. Reinstalled XVID, DIVX, Matroska, and ffdshow, yet still no fix. Also installed x264, which was a fix mentioned on another board; no fix either.

Here's the weird ass error. I'm running an Athlon XP 2100+, Windows XP Pro, 768 mb of ram, and a GeForce 6600GT 128mb video card. Program was Media Player Classic, avi was the fansub of Final Fantasy VII: Final Order [Which worked previously, but when I installed this video card and eliminated the old ATI drivers and the like to put in the Nvidia card/drivers, it all stopped.]

Final Order? Is that another name for Advent Children, or is there something else I don't know about?

It's the anime-ization of the events before Final Fantasy VII, when Cloud was with Zack. It came with the special edition DVD set of Advent Children.
