Spider-man 3

Aside from X-men 3, this was probably one of the biggest letdowns I've ever had at the movies. Not saying it was a bad movie, no. If this had been the first one, hell, even the second, It would have been great, now it's just okay. I suppose it's kinda hard to be more awesome than spider-man 2, but i would have expected this movie to be at or near the same level. I expected wrong.

That is all.

The key to a great superhero movie is the villian and sandman is lame. I mean they could have chosen Mysterio or a bunch of other better ones and they chose sandman, how lame. I think also they need to get about 100 hardcore fans together when doing a script like this just to tell them when they are fucking up. They also need those fans for scenes also since bad angles and stuff can fuck up the feel of a movie totally.

Now I did like spiderman2 except for the slow scenes before the guy became Dr Octopus though they kind of did need those scenes for the non fans but I don't think there are a ton of people that would complain if he just started out bad and just had action the entire movie. That would have been a fans dream come true. Same with some of those lame ass superman movies. I would love to see one with him and Darkseid on some alien planet fighting it out with other races helping to decide the fate of the universe, now that would be one I could watch over and over. Not this pussy ass yuppy feel good superman they use now. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Ah, but those are great scenes because one of the things that makes Spidey interesting to me is his human side...he's not like Superman who is basically invincible.

Venom, shit I forgot about him and he would make the ultimate movie and with that costume it would be easy to do the CG compared to sandman and he's so vicious it couldn't help but be good with the right director and script. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

But when you only have 2 hrs max usually it takes away from the good stuff like that stupid love scene with superman. Wrecked the entire movie, that and he looked like a wimp without any muscles in that one. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Last I heard, Venom seemed too forced in the movie script. He should have had his own movie, and perhaps even two.

Venom should be massively sadistic and almost rabid in his attack intensity. Just totally relentless. Wish they would consult me since the final movie would have 2 versions and one would be totally uncut and R rated because of the violence factor alone. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Huh?, Venom is quite brutal, but I am under the impression that you are mixing his role with Carnage's. Venom has an inmense hatred towards spiderman, but he still wants to be the hero.

Re: Spider-man 3 (possible spoiler)

they tried really hard to fit a lot of material within 2 hours and 20ish minutes.... a lot of times it felt like you were given the ol "btw, this happens" during the movie
its understandable to a point since toby mcguire has said he doesn't want to do a fourth.

He's probably made his millions and wants to retire to a private Carribean island.

I believe he doesn't want to be stuck on the Spiderman role, unlike everyone on Friends.

You mean the movie that educated people on how the machines *government/civilization* and the people who are living in an illusion that is very fragile are needed by each other but at the same time have a total control total slave relationship that is wrong but at the same time is needed. Also though this control relationship and machinery to keep it going is apparent most people do not even realize this in any way and live in an illusionary fantasy world called the american lifestyle and anyone that strays to far from that lifestyle will have a visit from agent Smith. Yeah that is kind of dumb

Though it is hated by someone like yourself who can easily see through this illusion, the movie woke up millions of minds across the world and put fear into my mind when I realized that the controllers do not want us to think of what will happen when our machines cannot function from lack of fuel since when that day happens they will lose almost all their control and anarchy will ensue.

WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD ~*morpheus*~ <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

He also said he didn't want to do a third back when the second one came out.

Re: Spider-man 3 (possible spoiler)

Oh, the Matrix...... Before the moive came out, I had this back-of-the-mind belief that I was in stasis somewhere, in an experiment, and everything in my environment was part of a false world, and that the people running the experiment gave me stimulus to test my reactions. Then the Matrix came out. I figured that it was their way of saying that I was right (not exactly the same idea, but it was close enough for me).

Damn. Now I have to forget about this again.

Honestly, I thought the critics were waaaaaaaayyy too hard on this. I thought it was at least as good as Spiderman 2.

In most trilogies like this, I think ...

The first movie is new and still building hype, so critics underrate it.
The second movie receives all the goodwill from the first movie, even if it's not as good.
The third movie gets all the regret over overrating the second movie and is underrated again.

Order of movies for me: 1-3-2
