Sorry, I didn't know exactly where to put this.
I'm not exactly emulator/emulation savvy, as in today is my first day even messing with them.
I was playing paper mario using Project 64 and I saved several times, in game, saving the current state, and the state slot several times as I progressed. When I went to load the game again, however, it took me back almost 2 hours of actual playtime.
Now, I have the folders in which the data was actually saved, but I'm not sure exactly how to get them into the emulator for play again? Or do I really have to do that all over?

Save states and save files are not mutually exclusive. If you saved a state, you should be able to load it assuming the file was written (like if you didn't set the path to your CD drive or something not writable).

First download best emulator in that you have to do some settings. In that oid is the best one because they come with lots of option for customization and all and also you need to take care of controls.
