Many years later...

And I've changed quite a bit.

I have Zophar's Domain to thank for teaching me what is and is not acceptable behaviour on the internet. If I were to have made such blunders (as I had in my early days of ZMD) as in the other net ventures I've pursued over the years, I doubt I ever would have been taken seriously there (much like I really wasn't here...)

But that's the benefit of getting older...

Anyway, 3 years later, (or four perhaps?), I thought I might as well stop by here and say hello.

Things I've done over the years:

-Won the Maine State Spelling Bee, advancing to the Nationals (I lost there horribly)
-Learned a small amount of C++
-Became a furry
-Got into anime
-Started my own website (which almost got me into some legal trouble)... Anyway, I let the DNS expire, so that is no more
-Got into tracking (ModPlug Tracker)
-Got into, and out of, the AIM 'scene'
-Got a good grasp on Java

And what was it made me think to visit ZMD once again?

I'm taking on the task of learning z80 assembly (for the purpose of programming for the TI-83), and I know that there is very likely a large group of ZMD's users who are knowledgeable/fluent in z80 assembly (this is, after all, an emulation site.)

And, for anyone who's curious to see my internet stuff...

By the way, JadussD...
Yes, I was under 16 at the time... I was in a very repressive environment, under the tyranny of my quasi-religious stepmother... But those days are over too. Ah, the magic of divorce.

Porch, did you even read his post, or were you just being a http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/6862/cockmonglerzx0.jpgcockmongler?

Calling RB a fag after you posted several weeks ago about getting high off of fermented shit is at best laughable, and at worst despicable.
This is NOT a chan. Discretion is necessary in your posts, otherwise you aren't exercising your brain so much as your ability to selectively remember posts.

When you use the phrase 'furfag', you are merely spreading the social cancer that are image boards to audiences that should never have to hear about it. He has as much right to be a 'furfag' as you do to get high off of your own fermented piss and shit: not recommended, but it's your choice. Reason is the only thing that distinguishes humans from chimps who throw feces at each other; exercise it, or you forfeit your membership in the forgivingly all-encompassing entity that is humanity.

What gives you the right to denigrate large numbers of people based solely on what they believe? Whatever may be in supposed or actual criticism of Furries, you do not get to treat them like shit just based on their beliefs; otherwise, you have learned absolutely NOTHING from the singling out that has resulted in mass persecution (don't get me started on 'fursecution'). I don't have any particular fondness for the furry "lifestyle, but I can encounter them without having the urge to grunt "furfag" in response to every sentence.

You like to post ADHD-inspired image macros on image boards. Since when does that make you Arbiter of the Worth of your Fellow Man? Not only do you engage in denigration of Furries, you engage in the casual denigration of homosexuals, via the use of the epithet 'fag'. Despite the societal backlash that is currently occurring against homosexuals, you decide to add to it in the worst possible way: Dehumanization.

What defines humanity? The color of someone's skin? Their religious beliefs? Their sexual orientation? Their loves? Their hates? Their fantasies? Their gender? In one flippant sentence, you have managed to work against everything our society has been attempting to rectify for centuries, and shown that the groundwork for another mass persecution is already imprinted in the minds of the people.

If you want to criticize Furries or homosexuals, do it somewhere where the discussion is relevant; don't spout off a couple words fetched from your rectum and throw them somewhere they don't belong. I SUGGEST you provide legitimate criticism in a relevant way, instead of expunging your mouth-diarrhea in text form upon a hardly relevant post.

Thank you.

(and yes, I know I drew out a 1 sentence post into at least 5 paragraphs. I'm sexy that way.)

At the same time, he has a point. And when someone improves themselves in some way, it's a good thing and not something to be derided. Hell, I cringe when I remember certain aspects of how I was say....7 or 8 years ago. I think everyone has been there wether they admit it or not.

Check out http://www.sdcompo.com/Soundevotion Compo some time. A site dedicated to monthly online tracking competitions. It's fun. I hang out there, becoming a regular under the directionless handle.

Yeah... Or maybe my life isn't so insignificant to waste time combating your faggotry and simply enjoying the lulz it afforded me.

At least I'm still posting trying to stimulate discussion. Everyone should already know not to take me seriously.

How was any of that 'stimulating discussion'? I could see if you started a thread with some kind of a worthwhile message or topic, but you were flaming a guy on a message board.

But if you were really trying to stimulate discussion, you would be attempting to be vaguely clever with your trolling. Even among people who flame there are people who have good insults that actually burn... and even among the *chans, people can find ways to use memes to humourous effect. You just seem to be spouting out memes and *chan-related terms at random, without recognizing what timing actually makes the use of them funny, which would make you what those boards call a "newfag". C'mon, I've seen you make good posts in the time I've been on these boards. Don't fall into the pattern of the cancer killing /b/.

TL;DR: Try to actually impress people you're not targeting when you flame or troll. You're doing it wrong.

Yeah, that's not impressive at all. Try using more exclamation points.
