So...its now after 9am EST Tuesday, December 7th 2004....I arrived at work at 9am EST Monday, December 6th 2004. Yes, that's right....I've been at work for 24hrs....and I have to work till 6 this evening....only b/c I have a meeting setup at 7pm outside work. So, when its all said and done, I will have been at work for 32 hours straight...and I will have been awake for 40 hours. At this point, I'm drinking the Sky Rocket from the bottle....I'd take some vivrin or something, but I'm afraid my heart would explode. I've done coding marathons before....but nothing like this....not even in college cramming a project in.....wow....I hope I make it.
About two months ago, I stayed up for literally almost 48 hours. I woke up at 6AM on Thursday, got up, and went to classes through the day until 7PM. Since that day my mother was out of town and couldn't complain at me for staying up through the night, I got preoccupied and by the time I knew it it was 10AM on Friday. Not wanting to screw over my sleep schedule, I vowed to stay up through the day and go to bed at a reasonable hour (9PM Friday). About an hour before that reasonable hour, a friend of mine IMs me and goes, "Hey, want to hang out?" And I'm like, "Sure." So I go on over to his place, and we hang out, play Monopoly, and then when it's midnight him, a few other friends, and I go to the local coffee shop place that's only open from midnight to 5AM. We hang out for a few hours, and then decide to go walk around Wal-Mart and look at miscellaneous things. So we go there. By the time I got home that night, it was around 5:30AM Saturday. I went home, hung out online until 6AM-ish, and then layed down on my bed and passed out. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>
Ya damn whipper-snapper!! I aint as young as a used ta be!
Anyways...pretty impressive....my all-time record was 44hrs...that was in college...just for the hell of it if I remember correctly...getting up Friday morning, and not going to bed till sometime early Monday morning...with a 45 minute cat-nap in there...so count it how you will <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>
