Is there a way to check if Office is registered without installing it?

I recently got a copy of Office 2003 and some other stuff. Legitimate software, of course. I want to find out if I can see if it's registered or not without installing it, because I already have Office 2000 and I'm happy with it (that and I've heard horror stories about Office 2003 fucking up computers.)

Or, if I have to install it, can I do it without it screwing up my system? Will System Restore (I'm using XP SP2) be enough to prevent any installation problems?

Thanks for any help.

You wrote registered, but it sounds like you're talking about activation. Is that what you meant?

No, I really like Office 2003 and never had any problem with it. I'd use Office 07 if it didn't have that ugly and mem eating interface...

I use Office 2000 with my Win98 computer, but the one I got came from a high school near Roanoke county, with the basic shit, I wanna deck the idiot that thought that was all it needed.
