i fuc*ing hate kazza. i wish there had never been a kazaa. why do i hate it you ask?simple. My mother(yes i still live with my parents)goes on what i call kazaa binges. she just sits there searching for stuff, and downloading other worthless crap. the worst part is that when she leaves the computer downloading, she doesnt let anyone near it, for she believes it will cancel her downloads. Why do i put up with it you ask? just use another computer you say? i put up with it because my computer is the only one in a house of 9-10 pcs with an itnernet connection. it has gotten less severe, but i still hate it. Excuse me while i stew myself internally with anger/frustration. i barely managed to make this post.<img src=smilies/angryfire.gif>

Puzzl, take her to the kazaa site and show her the FAQS page and specifically the page on resumed download capabilities in kazaa, or start a download and shutoff kazaa with your download and show her it picks right up again and the only thing that'll stop a download is having no one online with that filebeing shared. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>
kazaa is gay anyways. Anything I ever wanted to download on it went at about 4 kb a sec. If I wanted that slow of a download I'd be back on fuckin AOL. I could find a warez site with what I want and be able to download it before a kazaa download of it would even be halfway.

Have you tried the latest version of kazaa lite octo, the multiple user feature is working much better than it was working even 6 months ago, I'm on a 56K connection and I won't say what I downloaded but I downloaded an entire music CD in about 6 hrs with the speedup feature looking for new sources to download from hammering away, this new version really rocks, you should try it. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>
kazaa isn't as bad as you think, its free, it has a good selection, has hard to find pdf files, and you dont even have to move your dead mouse hand to wade through brokenlinks, porn popups, and "vote for me here or you cant enter!" bull. yeah you could find it on a warez sight, but its easier to get it through kazaa.

I don't think it can really get to much worse than that. Plus this computer with the internet connnection sucks. Kazaa kills all the system resources and I usually have to restart after using it <img src=smilies/crying.gif>

I had the same problem with my siblings. They'd not let anyone near the computer while something large or even small music was downloading... so I had to do it. I renamed Cydoor.dll (the fake one)and said KaZaA had a virus in it when they tried opening it up and it said there was an error. Surprisingly to me, it worked. Hide the folder, do whatever, then put Kazaa's IP in the hosts file. That way they can't get to Kazaa to redownload it, but since its just hidden, you still have access to it. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

I want your internet connection and I think I'ld start with Mandrake whatever the latest version is, I wouldn't shutdown the computer for a week, constant downloads 24/7. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>
Meh. It's just you're average everyday cable connection, but with Kazaa Lite I get like crazy mad 220kb/s downloads, so one mp3 is usually done in about a minute.
