If you go to the Doctor, and the Doctor's exam is over, do you then go back and tell him he's only getting 1/2 of what you're supposed to pay? No! Why? Because doctors are respected people who work hard for their money, and will MAKE sure they are getting paid. If they don't, Hundreds of people take their side, stand up for them and make sure they get their money, Correct?
If a lawyer wins your case, do you then refuse to pay him? No! Why not? Because even though the job gets such a bad rap, noone would mess with a lawyer's money. The lawyer would receive the full support of the court, no?
And on and on and on... There is a pretty even trend there. You don't give someone their money, one way or the other, they get it, right?
BUT! THERE is an exception to every rule. Or so there are those who believe. TEACHERS!! WOOOOAAHH! Summer school will be over in one week and 6 days. Today, we recieved our checks. I was promised $225 a week,for teaching. The check i received today was for $100 a week. Anyone wanna guess why?
THEY CUT THE SUMMER SCHOOL! Yesterday. I am pissed. I walk out of the classroom and go over to the central office. NO ONE IS THERE! Everyone decided to stay home today.. Hmmm.. Wonder why?!? THE PRINCIPAL is not even here! I come back and call their homes. Nope. No answer. They make about 3 times the amount of teachers and they don't even have answering machines. Uh huh.. Yea... They did last week...
The teachers? LOL! They stood in the hall talking about it. That's it! Just talking. Then my mom tried to tell me I had no right to speak to the Superintendent. I calmly explained that I am a citizen of Hamburg and have every right to speak to him. He's fishing. I can't wait till he gets home.
OH! And just now the director of the summer school has made an excuse. "We divided wrong. We were allotted $X amount of dollars for summer school. When we divided that, we got $225 per person per week. We didn't divide correctly" Ok, Im sorry, but if they can divide and be 125 dollars off, then I don't want them teaching children how to do anything!!
Basically, I'm griping because I've been teaching these kids, with the exception of camp last week, and I want the correct amount of money. Hmmm.. I actually think that for once in my life, I'm the one that is right.
