I have created a Commodore 65 (yes, sixty-five) emulator. The emulator is called Hi65 and uses an HLE approach to execute BASIC 10 instructions directly. As a result, it's much faster than both the original machine and MESS (the only other program that emulates the Commodore 65).
A test I ran (you will find more information in the Hi65 homepage) indicates that my emulator is 2840 times faster than MESS and 12000 times faster than a physical Commodore 65. Also, unlike in MESS, graphical modes with more than 8 colors are displayed correctly.
