Why do they do it? They get you, they give you everything you thought you wanted. They promise you the moon and the stars and everything in between.
Yea, they lie. They lie their asses off and when their tired of lying they go on to lie to someone else. They drop out of your life for an entire YEAR. A WHOLE DAMN YEAR, without a word.
Then after that year, they're back. And they want to control everything in your life. AGAIN.
"You've gotten outta hand." "You're not the lady you should act like." "You need to straighten your act up" "You've made the wrong decision, that's not the career you want." "I'll talk to you later, I need to think about what you've done to yourself and how i can fix it"

I know that there are decent guys out there. Not all men are such assholes. There's an exception to every rule. I'm even friends w/a few great guys.
Hmmm.. They say the third times a charm. I wouldn't know. I refuse to make the same mistake more than twice, unless it was fun. Neither time was fun. I'm just still just wondering what makes them like that.....

That, is the maybe, second biggest load of crap I've ever heard, the first coming from a used car salesman in Connecticut who tried selling me a Fiat with no exhaust system in it. Not every guy is like that. Not every relationship is like that either.
It's flat out wrong to throw every guy in the "bad" bin cause nothing's worked out yet. Nothing happens without a reason.
I'm sorry you feel you've been screwed over, but we're not all like that. Believe me, you may just be attracted to the worst type for you. Don't give up, there may be someone out there who's not gonna mess ya over.

I would consider myself probably the nicest guy I know, and yet I still managed to make some girls cry...so I dunno what to tell ya. Sadly enough, this seems to be a world in which the assholes are the winners, where fucking on the 1st or 2nd date is normal, where relationships are lucky to last 2 months and lucky to not have a shitty ending. So far, I'm 2 for 2 in the less-than-2-months and shitty-ending categories...maybe soon I'll shoot for a hat trick! Hell, I'm beginning to wonder whether I should have sex early in a relationship just to prolong the relationship past 2 weeks even. I'd never do it, but jeez...

Not in my experience . . . Give a girl everything she asks for and she'll find a guy who'll offer something she didn't even know she wanted. Once she realizes that she actually did not want it, she'll be back to put a guilt trip on you.

As for guys being jerks, it's not true. Only half of us are jerks. The other half are stupid (myself included).

I know not all of anything is as bad as one. And its a two-way street there are plenty of women that are worse than lots of guys I've met.
And I should probably apologize. The vast majority of my friends are guys. And most of them are Great guys.

NOT! hehe, actually i am a very nasty jerk cause i won't even get into a relationship. throw me your worst temptations, i'll give you a load of quotes in return. i sympathize with you, but i think you might be going about it all wrong. play hard to get, then tell em you can be my friend, but nothing more (the ones that stick around yet) see how long they last. i'm currently toying with about 5 girls, trying to figure out which ones actually like me, and not my gender.

Being open and honest about your feelings is the best way to go if you're looking for a good solid relationship. Obviously, be subtle and pay attention to how much their interest is in you. But don't play games. Unless you're interested in High School level relationships. <img src=smilies/laff.gif>

I've toyed with 2 at a time...I liked them both a lot, they both liked me a lot, and in the end, I got neither. That approach doesn't work, trust me.
