GBA Flash Carts

So, with the recent release of Fire Emblem 6: Fuuin no Tsurugi in english [save for the opening cinema], I've taken an interest in getting a flash cart. I just need one large enough for this one ROM, so I can play it on the go, seeing that we'll never see it stateside.

Suggestions? Prices? Tips? Any help is appreciated.

I think the cheapest one would be like $75 plus shipping. I haven't heard of any gba games being larger than 256Mb, but for the hell of it you mine as well get a 512Mb cart. worse case scenario is you patch the rom so the save type works on your cart. I see some on ebay but they're over priced. look on the gbadev.org retailer feedback forums to find lots of sites and comments about sellers.

For that much, if you have some spare compact flash cards lying around, you could get a device such as the M3...for GBA stuff it works just as a flash cart, and if you have some CF cards you got the benefit of all that extra storage. Plus if you get a DS someday you can take advantage of DS homebrew like MoonShell, the MP3/SPC/all kinds of MODS/WAV/DPG (DS MPEG)/NSF and some other stuff even Player.

I actually have a DS, but I'm not horribly interested in homebrew. It's more looking for a way to transfer around this one translated rom, which is pretty lame btu I'm a pretty large Fire Emblem fan so it seemed like a good idea to me.

Well, it does work with GBA stuff, anyway. Loads the ROMs into it's internal RAM so there aren't any speed issues. And on most games (some games don't like it) you can patch it to turn on a real-time savestate like feature which is kinda nifty.

Yeah, not a bad card at all, I've had one for a few years and it works quite well.

Well, somebody is selling a 256M flash cart in the classifieds section, and I hear he is willing to accept the best offer (hint hint).
