Ever think of doing this? I don't mean "Oh noes I'm gonna kill myself brb" posts. I mean destroying all evidence of your existence in the internet - your personal sites, email addresses, writings, posts, or whatever. Ever feel like doing that?
Because I'm quite close to doing that right now.

Like there aren't computers out there that have bought your information already and would even consider destroying it. You would have such a huge task it isn't even funny and the US Government probably has stuff about you even if not bad that they would deny even existed so your task is probably impossible. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Nah, never have actually. It'd be a shame if you did it too. You seem like a pretty decent guy, and besides that, you seem to be a very good hacker and that's something anyone with half a brain should respect.

i maintained an intimate and personal weblog (that was my full name even) for 4 or 5 years. when i pulled the plug on it, i swear it felt like a piece of me did in fact die.
of course i'm psycho so that may factor in.

I'm slowly transitioning from using this web ID to using my real name for online situations. The days of "omg ul be stalked if u use ur real name on internets" never existed for anyone who wasn't a 13-year-old MySpace/AOL Chat whore. I have no plans of totally abandoning this ID though.
Note that I have no intention of leaving behind things I've done when I switch account names. I consider myself fairly well-respected in the circles I participate in and have no motivation to sacrifice any clout I've gained just for using my real name instead of some nonsensical "internet name" I invented in grade school.

Nowhere. It doesn't mean anything, either. It's just something I made up to be unique (I didn't want to share usernames with anyone else) hence the distinctive capitalization. It's also short enough to be easily recognizable.
