Come again? I've used DVD Xcopy platinum and DVD Shrink to make a backup of We Were Soldiers (yes I actually own this). Not only was the backup made by DVD Shrink lower quality, but it also failed to play properly in my Xbox. The copy made with DVD Xcopy worked flawlessly, and the quality was almost that of the original disc.

I only make perfect copies of DVD's so often I have to use 2 DVD's. I use DVD shrink if the DVD will fit on one DVD-/+R, The default setting with shrink is to put everything on the DVD, so the compression can sometimes be at 50%, lol...generally in that case you need to use two DVD's(or try and re-author it and fit the main movie on only, I never let it compress anything) and then Ill use DVD Fab and DVD Decrypter for that. They always make flawless copies. I noticed that DVD X Copy has trouble when you want to split the movie onto two dvds, and it sometimes has problems with certain dvds...anyway never had a problem with DVD Shrink - DVD Decrypter Combo or DVD Fab - DVD Decypter Combo. Oh and XBOX is shit for playing copied DVD's most times anyway.

I've had a lot of fun with DVD Decrypter myself. No burning, but converting to DivX so I can watch the movie on my laptop with no DVD. I think I'll do Kill Bill next.

BTW, nice avatar. :)

I think it had something to do with 321 Studio distributing DeCSS in the DVD Xcopy program, and some court ruled it illegal to distribute, something like that. I think they're not legally allowed to sell any more copies of DVD Xcopy anymore.
