o.k., my school is getting brand new laptops next year, so they are selling the old ones. For only 40 something dollars. One problem. Slow processor, not even a gig of ram, and not alot of rom, all of which I want. Also, the Admin in my school is unlocking everything on the computer. But if it gets broken, i have to fix it myself. And almost all of them are really shitty now. So, should I save up more money for something else, or buy the laptop?

You should buy the laptop and get some RAM. You only need a 512 RAM card, since those have old RAM cards, they should be really cheap.
P.S. Those school computers have a faster processor than my home computer.

Well, for 40 dollars, you can't go wrong with a fucntioning portable. I'd buy it.

How much then? 512 MB? Because that's not as bad as you're making it sound. I've never owned a PC with more than that.

That's generally the rule when you own something yourself.

$40 is a fucking steal for a laptop, even if it has WinME, a 900 MHz processor, and 256 MB of SDRAM. Do it.

If not, buy a George Foreman grill for $30.

I used to hang out behind the 7-11 and nothing bad ever happened to me. Also, kids should go fucking play outside. Sitting on the internet for a billion hours a day just makes you fat and stupid.
