Comcast officially sucks...

So the other day, my cable modem up and died. Fine.. no biggy. We were renting it, and pay $5 a month to do so. So I said fuck it, bought a Linksys for 50 bucks and returned the old one to the company. They asked me where the ethernet cable is. I looked at them weird like, "Huh? You mean the one I had to buy cuz you guys didn't supply one?" She looked at me and said "we gave you a damn cord." I'm thinking to myself, this bitch HAS to be PMSing..

So.. whatever. You want to get bitchy with me I can do the same. "This so-called supplied cable from you guys I had to go out and PURCHASE one from my local computer store. And then you expect me to GIVE you the cable that I spent 8 bucks on? Nuh huh. You want one you can go get one."

She replied, "That'll be 15 dollars sir."

EXCUSE ME?! 15 dollars for a cord I HAD TO GO BUY?! FUCK YOU. If there WERE another service around here, I'd be up and GONE from you assholes. Now I patiently wait for WideOpenWest to come to my area, and then I say "BUH BYE TO COMCAST!"

You're gonna be waiting, bro. WOW has said that they're not touching us. Comcast owns the cable around here - it's exclusive to this shit little town - which is the reason you can't even get DSL. WOW aint touching us until Comcast takes their ass and leaves.

On an ironic note, before I moved up north a little, I lived in a Comcast/WOW shared area. T'was nice. Now, I live in a Comcast area (no WOW, but I have DSL, so Comcast isn't the only High-Speed out here). Yet--there is a WOW service office not even a mile from where I live. There's even a WOW van parked infront of my house as I speak. Every city around me (except to my left) has WOW, so I'm expecting it to get here relatively soon.

Here for the last couple of weeks my comcast service was down more than it was up and running. Last monday they finally came out and fixed all the local towers so im actually able to get connected all the time. For the past few weeks until last monday i couldnt even sit and play PSO for more than like 20 minutes without the connection in my area going down and disconnecting me, leaving me to wait for it to decide to come back on some 5-8 hours later (if at all until the next day). After a few weeks of this going on, and them not caring about it, they finally decided they better care about their service working after i called and yelled at them for an multiple hours...lol I mean, for paying like 44.95 a month that kind of downtime was inexcusable. At first all i got from them was some "we're maintenacing the servers" BS but after i yelled at them for awhile they come out and fixed it. Maintenancing the servers shouldnt take 5-8 hours of downtime multiple times a day... Too bad theyre they only Cable/DSL provider that covers my area

What you sould have done was said "FINE" jump over the counter and rip the cable out of their computer then jump back over the counter and throw it strait in her face and say "THERE YOU FUCKING BITCH!!! HAPPY!!!!"<img src=smilies/laff.gif>

No realy I have had a bad time with them too! I bought a cable modem($200 with $100 rebate) then I was told I had to buy this fucking software just to get it working (I thought that was kind of bullshit) I think it was something like $15. Then I call them up to get it turned on and start my service I gave all the normal info and everyhting then the person told me that in two days I sould get a call for them to hook up my cable (I didn't care much about cable TV and I was willing to pay the I think it was a $5 fee for having the sevice with no TV) Two days went no call (not even a message on the phone) so I called them back up to find out the deal they said sorry and went on again and said I should get that call now. Still no call! This went on for like 6 or more times till I just gave up! Comcast just took over the local cable company and they really didn't know what the fuck they were doing. And to this day I still have no cable connection! Basturds! I don't want to get DSL because I have already spent like alot of money on my modem already. One day I will give them one more try and if I still get bullshit like that I am just going to concider them as fucking ripoffs for makeing me pay for thier sucky software that fucked up IE and my explorer! They can go to hell and I guess I will try AOL for my cable needs and if that sucks then I'm going to sell my modem at a fucking pawn shop (and prob. get like $10) then buy a dsl modem/service (Bellsouth seems to be a better company when it comes to not fucking up!)

Yep, the truth. I getting dsl soon and my bro says Comcast has it for 20 bucks. I check their website and since I don't have their cable service I had to pay 54 bucks a month?!

Geh... I had to buy my own DSL modem. And then the service, gew. I'll take Comcast over SBC DSL.
