So heres the thing . I want a program to convert avi files to ready to burn dvd files. I have been using dvdsanta, but it bugs out on my living room dvd player, and on the one in the basement for some reason it alwasy chops off the sides which is a huge pain in the ass if its a foreign flick im burning. Is there something better out there I can use?

If your DVD player can't handle a flick, then try burning it at a lower speed. Maybe it can't handle stuff burned at 8x or higher. My DVD-RW drive needs to burn stuff at 4x so my player will recognize them.

I have to go with Sam on this one, nerovision is probably the best out there with TMPGEnc source creator a close second. If you want some great custom menu's and stuff also I would definitely go with Nero though.
