Is there a way to speed up a snes rom?

Not to speed up an emulator, to speed up the ROM itself. So if I were to put it on a flashcart it would go faster.

What, to have the game run at a faster rate, as if it was sped up? I mean it would be technically "possible," but considerably hard. I mean, it's all timed to the vertical refresh rate of analog televisions at the time. Modifying the actual running speed of the game would be very difficult, and would likely require rewrites to the entire engine itself.
