Default This Day in Emulation History

Since the news reporting function of the site is on indefinite hiatus, I was thinking of a cool feature --

If the archives go back far enough, and the scripting is possible, how about cycling through the site's news entries and reporting the day's news from 1997, 98, 99 etc.? That could be pretty nostalgic.

But the main page is already an archive. It's hasn't been updated since 2004, 2005.

Go boredom!

http://www.ximwix.net/storage/whatday/This Day in Emulation History</a>. I don't think the newer news archive (12/2006 and onward) is working, so it only gets 1996 through 2000.

Felt like giving it that 1996 charm. If it really bugs you, here's a http://www.ximwix.net/storage/whatday/noframes.phpno frames version</a>.
