A general rule to me is, if they don't give free refills on soda, it's not worth going to.

I completely agree with you on that. Though we always drink sweet tea when we go to a restaurant. I drink like 4-6 glasses at those places. The most common restaurants we go to are Shoney's, Perkins, Ryan's, King Buffet (Excellent Crab Legs!), and El Sombrero. We never go to any place fancier than those, there's just no point in it. There's also a great steakhouse in Uvalda called "Benton Lee's", they serve some of the largest steaks I've seen in my life. The other entrees are also very big.
