No, the cape/hilt guard is upside down, but the legs are definitely the handle (look closely at the criss-cross pattern on her stockings, mimicking the tsukaito-like braid on the sword) and her head is definitely the blade (it comes to a sharp metallic point).

No shit, I didn't notice the pattern on the stockings. I was looking at the way the cape ruffled compared to the pattern on the guard but your right about the stocking.

Yeah, some confusion is understandable, since like you said, the guard is turned upside down to become the cape.

Overall I think the character design looks really cool. It'll be interesting to see what they're up to. Presumably she's the living embodiment of the sword, but whether it's a brief temporary state she goes into when it's useful to do so, or whether it's a long-term condition that plays a significant role in the development of the plot, is anyone's guess. (I'm reminded a bit of how Masa and Mune compose the animate form of the Masamune in Chrono Trigger, mostly before the sword is forged and later in time before it is reforged.) Something I noticed is the absence of the Triforce symbol. Perhaps that omission is actually a plot point-- that is, perhaps in this version of the story, she isn't brought to her full potential or perhaps her ultimate form as a sword until Link gains the power of the Triforce.

The last one was my guess in an earlier post about finding the triforce releases her.

I don't know about finding the entire triforce, but perhaps Link has lost the Triforce of Courage for some reason (since that is the one for which he seems to be the avatar).

Ah, yeah, I missed that post somehow.

See, this is what happens any time I stash a Triforce in my sock drawer. Next thing I know, the Triforce is gone, along with one sock from each pair.
It throws my whole day off. (You could even say it starts it off on the wrong foot.)

I lost the Water Crystal that way just the other day.

I want good challenges back, kinda like the Water Temple from Ocarina Of Time. I loved that temple. Wind Waker and Twilight Princress were way too easy.

Yeah, as much as I love Zelda, the last few haven't been very hard at all. Actually though, most Zelda games aren't that hard to me. A little more difficulty would be nice.
