Wow memories. I remember when I had a system even slower but not since 1996. Right now my swapfile is bigger than your harddrive.

Hmm...I can almost do Wii emulation. I think what is holding me back is the graphics card actually. That's true of some PS2 games as well (mostly FF XII...that game is a damned beast).

Looks nice, but the contrast ratio is too low. I want to wait until someone comes out with LED-Backlit LCD, or OLED monitors. Either that or I just get a plasma TV. XD

This one looks good, especially for the contrast ratio and price. :3

Haha yeah, I've pretty much had this since the mid 90s...

Well I blew $120 on a 4GB hard drive when I was 10 but that one dies like 2 years ago...

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I was on this machine the first time I downloaded anything off of Zophar.net back in 1996. It was probably Nesticle95.

Case: PowerUp! Gamers case, has an LED spider on the front, though a plain case would work just as well, I just got it cheap.

Power Supply: 450 watt PowerUp! which came with the case

Motherboard: MSI K9N6PGM2, supports AM2+

CPU: Socket AM2 Athlon 64 x2 5000+

Cooling: Mosscool cpu fan and heatsink? It was cheap.

RAM: 4GB Corsair DDR2 800

Hard Disk: Primary - Seagate 160GB EIDE, Secondary - WD 80GB EIDE (Soon to be upgrading to a Hitachi 1TB SATA drive)

Optical: LiteOn DVD+R DL with Lightscribe, I bought it for the lightscribe for cheap, not realising it takes so damn long to burn a label.

Graphic Card \ Chip: EVGA 9800 GTX+, 512MB I do believe

Sound Card \ Chip: On-board Realtek 7.1 HD

Screen: 17" NEC LCD

Keyboard & Mouse: Keyboard - Generic Labtec, Mouse - Old MS Intellimouse

Speakers: Edifier 2.1

Operating System(s): Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit RC1

Extras: Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX

I built a media PC for my living room last week.

Case: APEX MI-100BK
Power Supply:90W Laptop-style external power brick.
Motherboard:Zotac IONITX-C-U mini-ITX
CPU: Intel Atom 230 (Overclocked from 1.6GHz to 1.8GHz)
Cooling: 90mm case fan set as an exhaust on the side.
RAM: Kingston 2x1GB HyperX DDR2 1066 (Running at 800MHz), dual channel.
Hard Disk:Samsung EcoGreen 1TB SATAII
Optical: Lite-On Black 6X BD-ROM 16X DVD+RW, SATAII
Graphic Card \ Chip: nVidia ION (GeForce 9400M)
Sound Card \ Chip: Realtek 7.1 chip.
Screen: Currently a 32" CRT HDTV.
Keyboard & Mouse: N/A
Speakers: Two channel stereo system.
Operating System(s):WinFLP with GameEx as the interface.
