Okay, I just wiped out WinXP and put on Win7 anyway, even though it's not entirely stable on this system, just to get to the bottom of the WinVista/Win7 video/audio sync issues.

And ... nothing. Works absolutely perfectly, right out of the box. A little crackling of the audio with the stock input frequency, so I lowered it to 31960hz. Perfect video and audio, no missed frames, no duplicated frames, no tearing even at 5x scale, and no audio popping. And this is on an Intel GMA945 + HDaudio, eg the cheapest possible shit money can buy. The processor is an E6600.

So, I don't know what to tell you. It works just fine for me. If you have a Core 2 and still have these issues, either you didn't try adjusting input frequency, or there's something wrong with your system :/

Shame you don't live in Jacksonville anymore. I'd just invite you over ;p

I may try adjusting the audio frequency though. Also, for some reason, this machine has rather unusual DPS latency (probably related to the motherboard) so that may be the cause as well.

As of right now, I'm not currently playing any SNES games, so it's not a big deal.

PCSP seems to have taken point as the best PSP emulator.

Same for DeSmuME in regards to DS emulation.

PCSP? From my understanding, I thought there wasn't really any active PSP emulation development.

I do recall someone attempting to do it, but it never went anywhere, but that was a few years ago.

Well, maybe you should try looking into it before you make comment.

But yeah, PCSP (the C++ version for Windows) and JPCSP (the Java, cross-platform version) are both being actively worked on, and I'm currently playing Crisis Core for the first time.. FINALLY!

Updated the PSP section to list JPCSP first, as it appears to be the more compatible project (as stated on the PCSP forums; I haven't confirmed first-hand yet).
