I agree. There are a TON of jobs there. Just go from contractor to contractor asking if they need workers.

I would also and this might be better ask painters, carpenters, framers, sheetrockers, concrete workers, roofers, and anyone else he might know in the field if they've heard of anyone hiring. Word is passed around in those fields and they usually hire someone who knows someone else if no one with major qualifications comes along. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

No offense, but many people working in the fast food industry are social rejects, ex-cons, druggies, heavy metal musicians, or high school drop-outs, so I don't think you have much to worry about.

Go everywhere and give them your CV. We don't get what we want but what we can get. Even if it's the food industry, you're not there forever. I mean, it's a student job right ?

Go for #3, UglyJoe has it right. Just be prepared for a very mature answer to why you got fired from BB. People get fired ALL the time for ALL reasons, so don't let that discourage you AND show the interviewer that you are not discouraged by that fact. Do NOT lie. They WILL find out and employers help each other find out the truth.

Edit: If it inspires you, the most sucessful people in the US have been fired several times and/or dropped out of college. Sometimes you are a square peg in a round world, you just need to find the square hole and you will win.
