Default Revenge of the Sith

Awesome. And I hated the prequels. (Well, Episode II was pretty good though).

It was definitly a huge improvement from I and II (especially II, in my book) but it had some of the same flaws, dialogue, silly comic relief, etc. But not bad, I was pleased, for the most part.

Actually, I thought the comic relief was pretty well done. I mean R2D2 just ripped it up against those two droids, and then lights them on fire, lol. Awesome.

Then when one Droid tell R2 "DONT MOVE!" He shocks the droids hand, and the droid kicks him over, that was hilarious.

Jeezus, I wanted to shoot myself at that part. R2 against two Super Battle Droids? Come on.

Having the droids talk the way they did...bad move. I know it was comic relief or whatever, but that was one of the only things I hated about this movie. That and Kashyyk.

It was OK, I guess. Compared to the first two episodes it was definately better.

Hayden Christensen is just such a poor actor that I had a very difficult time relating his whiny, over emotional character to that of the dark lord. The final scene with Vader whimpering over Padme's death was absolutely ridiculous. I also thought it was unconvincing how easy it was for Palpatine to turn Anakin against Mace and how he declared the new empire without opposition from any of the senate.

Ultimately the movie had lots of holes, little explanation and felt extremely rushed. It was as if George Lucas completely squandered away all of his film time with the first two episodes and was forced to cram an overabundance of events into this one.

Actually this made perfect sense. The thing is, no one in the senate, save for a few individual people (and I mean people, not star systems) knew about Palps' evil. Bail, Padme, and a few others. As far as the rest of the Senate knew (and it is a pretty big senate) the Jedi order actually DID make an attempt on Palps' life, and messed him up. His image is just literally that good to the senate, so they didn't mind the beginning of an Empire. As far as they knew, Palpatine is gonna be a 'good king' instead of an evil dictator. They won't realize how much of a mistake it was for several years, until the real nazi-ish regime really kicks in.

Well, in the actors' defense, the dialogue wasn't exactly shakespeare. They can only do so much with the choppy, bland dialogue that Lucas gives them....and don't even get me started on the complete ineptitude of the "love" scenes...they're more awkward than two 13 year olds at their first make out party

Yeah, I felt that that was quite convenient....he pretty much buttered him up and then BS'd him into being able to "save" Padme, and he turned, and instantly pledge himself without any cohersion demand. Aniken was hardly reluctant.

But...all in all...not bad. At least Jar-Jar didn't have any lines this time around.

I just saw the movie and i am a little disepointed...

The story feels a bit forced, the reason for anakins walk over to the dark side is a bit lame, yes he wants to save his love but would that automaticly make you murder tens of kids? (dunno the numbers but they where a bunch of them) they werent even jedies yet and couldnt have anything to do with a conspiracy against the republic. Anakin must be the easiest kid to turn over

The dialog as mentiond earlier in the post where a bit lame, and the acting when vader became insane is not that convinsing...

Its still a good move, well worth three thumbs up, and this is only because jar-jar never said a word YEAY....
