LOL i was just taking a sip of a PBR as I saw this thread. I switch it up when i'm not drinking my other favorite, and more classy redneck beer of choice: Miller High Life. The Champagne of Beers. Whereas Pabst, is simply the Blue Ribbon of Beers. Blue ribbons are something you win at a Town Fair Pig Contest.

And yes, although not a redneck, i have fixated myself on certain aspects of their culture and style. And yes my life IS hilarious.

Although i now have a good job again and could get my own apartment and a newer car at any time, my specs remain as they are at present:

Drive: El Camino
Live: Camper on the side yard of my friends house
Drink: Miller High Life and PBR
Wear: Jeans and pearl button snap shirts, although with nice shoes that the fags would probably love
Facial hair: Been known to enjoy a good phat mustache with handle bars

But then again this is what I look like:

So despite some of my redneck trappings, i've been able to escape the brand. But hey, i love their laid back, dysfunctional thing they got going for em. haha

but i've looked like this too

I think you missed the point. The point is that in the cities, there's a bunch of people going around acting all ironic and wearing trucker hats and drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon. Or, maybe that was last year's "cool" thing to do, and they've moved on to something else. They've basically devoted their lives to being trend-hopping, ironic lampooners of life, and exude an air of this faux, slightly-artsy superiority. They spend way too much money on fashion, and have hair-cuts that scream "I am mocking you with my hair."

They don't get it, but they think they do. They think they're counter-cultural and oh-so-hip. They have the hip part down, they're known as "hipsters". They're also all really goddamn skinny. I thought I was a skinny bean-pole until I saw a crowd of these hipsters going "Mooooooo!!" in an ironic manner.

Go to pitchforkmedia.com if you want to see their views on music, which is, "We just want to be cool."

It was last year's cool thing to do. His name was Ashton Kutcher.
