Default PC car sim

is there any car Sim that uses a physics engine as good as the GT series? i'd like to see a good selection of cars also, but i guess i could make some on my own.

TrackMania has the greatest physics engine in a racing game. Ever. Not because it's realistic, but because you can go 500MPH and get 30 seconds of airtime off jumps.
