81/150 for the USA Quiz, and I was guessing for most. I really don't think this is something hugely important to learn, even in the US.

62/111 for the Europe Quiz. Is that better or worse?

Finally, I managed 64/84 for the Asia Quiz. Maybe I should move over there someday.

To be honest, I didn't know where 80% of the states were.

You know why?

BECAUSE THIS IS *NOT* INFORMATION I USE EVERY DAY!

When I drive to work, I don't think to myself, "Okay, take the next right and OH MY GOD WHERE IS OKLAHOMA?" and when I complete my C++ homework, I don't think "friend void (exampleoverload, whatever), OH FUCK ME, WHY CAN I REMEMBER WHERE OHIO IS?" To be honest, I couldn't give a fuck unless I was travelling, and that's why they invented a MAP.

I'm sure it's a wonderful point for all you intellectual elitists to hold in high regard and babble off while you masturbate each other, but in day to day life, IT'S TOTALLY FUCKING USELESS INFORMATION.

So fuck you!

USA- 150/150, easy as pie (and I agree with you by the way)

Europe- 78/111 (Czech needs to stop splitting and Russian colonies need to stop breaking free!)

Central America- 31/42...disgusting because I used to know Central American geography well.

South America- 35-39 (ugh, thought Peru was one of the smaller countries at first, then mixed up Uruguay and Paraguay...used to know them well too)

Asia- 78/84 (those damn 'stans)

Middle East- 75/87 (don't know Middle East as well as I should...countries like Oman drew an absolute BLANK)

Africa- 98/147 (Ouch...then again, I would tip my hat to anyone outside of Africa that can place all African countries, as sad as that sounds)

I have to say I can't believe anyone would miss either Afghanistan or Israel, but hey, they don't teach world geography in school, because it doesn't matter, right? <img src=smilies/erm.gif>

I agree with you there. To retain knowledge you must use it on a somewhat daily basis. I hear what you're saying. When I took it I did horrible. Frankly, I don't give a rats ass really. I know my side of the country, and that's what is important to me. No, they didn't teach this shit to use in school. *EVER*. No capitols, no state locations, none of that shite. Oh well.. I guess I'll just die and go on to hell.. anyone care to join me?
