Default Gens9.5 and 9z problem: No diagonal movement with Logitech joypad

OK, I've been trying to set up the Gens emulators, the ones linked to on the TAS Videos page, since I needed a Genesis emulator that had AVI recording capabilities. But when I tried to configure the input for use with a Logitech PC controller, there's no diagonal movement whatsoever. This makes games like Gunstar Heroes UNPLAYABLE, and I cannot STAND using a laptop keyboard for action-packed side-scrollers. Borderline impossible for me.

I tried registering at TAS Videos but for some reason I wasn't e-mailed a confirmation message. So I turn to all of you here. IS there something I can do? Or does anyone know of another PC controller that allows diagonal movement? Or is it something with my laptop itself? Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like you have the same problem that I have.

Hmmmmmmmm...

I wounder if it's a problem with the drivers and the program. There were some issues that came up with the LogicTech. I'll play around with the drivers and let you know what I come up with.
