Default SPC emulator

Saw this on the front page, sounds like a cool project. Since I play most games for the music anyway I'd prefer an SPC player to an SNES emulator any day. Any word on how accurate/fast it is? (of course I'll be trying it when I get home...)

not very, it choked when i played any of the MMX3 songs, the project sounds really good, and i can't wait for updates, but right now it isn't worth the download yet.

I'm certainly gonna test it out...I'll post later and say my results. I've been hoping something like this would come about...actually, I was hoping Loopy's SNES emulator for GBA, as neat a concept as that is by itself, would have a GBA SPC player resulting from it.

It's a good start. There seems to be problems with the pitch sometimes and the actual mixing the sound down to two channels, but I'm very inetersted to see what develops from this. IMHO sounds somewhat better with the real hardware, but not that much different overall. Might just be my PC.

Well, it kinda is. It seems the author was inspired by SNES Advance enough to write an SPC emulator, in hopes it would help to add sound to SNES Advance.
