Default Metroid: Other M

Anyone tried it ? How is it ? I'd buy it, but I fear the new design of the game, I don't know. Maybe I should rent it before.

Actually, I've been playing it and quite like it. The combat is more actiony a little bit (if that makes sense) but it feels really good. I also haven't had an issue with the story. Some of the things people complain about I'm not really understanding (apparently Metroid is sexist now? Ok guys, sure...).

For me the 1st Person thing works pretty well, though it can involve some timing or strategy if you're doing it while fighting something. Also, to me it feels like Metroid, just with more outright story. About the only thing I'd complain much about is that occasionally the game puts you into 1st Person and you have to scan something. Maybe I'm blind, but sometimes I've sat there like an idiot trying to find what it wants me to scan. These don't happen all that often though, so it's not a big deal. There's also a few parts I've found where you get kind of a third person view behind the shoulder...Samus is a little bit slow in those bits (maybe because it has more tension for story purposes if you're not zooming around the room) but again, most of the game isn't like that.
Just can't wait to bomb some Dodongos.
